How to Manage Exam Stress

Most students have experienced being stressed out because of the coming exams. Symptoms of exam stress are anxiety or students being anxious days before the exam. In worst cases, some students panic before the exams and this result in lost concentration and no focus. Students who panic before and during the exam will more likely fail the exam. This is what we do not want to happen during exams.

The best remedy for panicking is to breathe deeply and relax. A relaxed student have more focus, more concentration and he or she can think more clearly and effectively. If you feel stressed out before the exam, you can close your eyes, breathe deeply and count from one to ten as you exhale.

If your stress is affecting the way you study and you feel that it is overwhelming your life, it may be a good idea to seek the help of your school counselor. Your school counselor will know what to do and how to identify the problem and what is causing the severe stress.
